The 4th as a name was the rather simplistic fusion of several inspirations…. Each that had some reference to 4 in them.
Aristotle's 4th Cause
Aristotle proposed that 'we do not have knowledge of a thing until we have grasped its why, that is to say, its cause' - a purpose to exist and contribute to.
Getting clear on the purpose of things, the 4th Cause, is an important part of our approach.
4th Industrial Revolution
Look around at the world - the pace of change and technology advancement is effecting nearly every aspect of our lives.
Our special interest is in the impact and innovation that areas like Web3.0 and Artificial Intelligence will provide to our future - especially in the health and care sectors.
New Ways of Working
There's huge shifts occurring to how we think about and do 'work'. One simple, evidence based action that we feel strongly leads to productive, happier and sustainable lives is committing to working the equivalent of 4 days or 32 hours per week.
A 4th Career
We've been employees, employers and business owners across public, private and not for profit sectors.
We feel like this is our 4th career phase and so are grateful to be starting something brand new and supporting the next generation of leaders and organisations.
